Associate Advisor | Wealth Management
A meaningful next step for an investment professional who wants to be closer to the client, the portfolio, and the decision-making.
We are looking for an Associate Advisor to join our wealth management team and work alongside experienced Financial Advisors serving high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and foundations.
This is not a role built around simply moving paperwork from one desk to another. You will have meaningful exposure to investment management, financial planning, portfolio analysis, and client relationships while working directly with advisors and our investment and client service teams.
For the right person, this role can be the next step toward becoming a Financial Advisor.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be involved in the work that sits at the center of a wealth management practice:
- Work alongside Financial Advisors to serve established client relationships and help deliver thoughtful investment and wealth management advice.
- Participate in client meetings, prepare materials, conduct research, and follow through on client needs and recommendations.
- Assist with portfolio reviews, investment analysis, financial planning, and the implementation of investment strategies.
- Take ownership of client onboarding, account openings, transfers, cash management, and ongoing account servicing.
- Develop a strong understanding of each client's objectives, circumstances, and long-term financial priorities.
- Monitor markets, economic developments, and investment opportunities to support portfolio and client discussions.
- Work closely with our investment, operations, and client service teams to ensure strategies are implemented accurately and clients receive a high level of service.
- Contribute to relationship development and business development efforts as your experience grows.
- Use platforms including Schwab Advisor Services, Orion, Microsoft Office/Excel, financial planning software, and portfolio management systems.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, intellectually curious, organized, and comfortable working with people.
You should have:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution; Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Series 65 required.
- 3–5 years of experience in wealth management, investment management, financial planning, or a related client-facing investment role.
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients is preferred.
- A solid understanding of investments, portfolio management, financial planning, and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to manage details without losing sight of the client.
- CFP® certification or progress toward the designation is highly valued.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to build a career in wealth management, not simply hold a position.
Why This Role
Our firm has been serving clients for 40 years and is employee-owned. We have built our business around a disciplined investment philosophy, long-term client relationships, and a commitment to dividend growth investing.
You’ll work with experienced professionals, gain exposure to the full advisory process, and have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as you develop.
We believe the best advisors combine investment expertise with sound judgment, curiosity, and the ability to earn trust over time.
Our culture is straightforward:
Know Your Stuff.
Be Devoted to Excellence.
Serve With Integrity and Humility.
Be Real and Transparent.
If you’re ready for a role where you can deepen your investment expertise, work directly with clients, and build toward the next stage of your career, we’d like to hear from you.
