Development Manager
CLIMB Fund | South Carolina
CLIMB Fund is seeking a Development Manager to lead and support fundraising, grant development, communications, marketing, and community outreach. This hands-on role will build relationships with funders and community partners, manage the development pipeline and CRM, coordinate fundraising initiatives, and support CLIMB Fund’s goal of raising $10 million in working capital.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of relevant experience, strong grant writing and fundraising skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and a commitment to CLIMB Fund’s mission and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and pursue grants, donations, corporate support, and community partnerships.
· Research, write, and coordinate grant proposals, applications, reports, and fundraising materials.
· Build and maintain relationships with funders, donors, and community partners.
· Support capital development efforts, including EQ2 and strategic funding partnerships.
· Manage the development pipeline, CRM, deadlines, deliverables, and follow-up.
· Coordinate fundraising, community-impact events, marketing, media, and communications.
· Track and report on fundraising, development, outreach, and social media goals.
· Coordinate development and communications projects across the organization.
· Maintain accurate and confidential donor, funder, client, and organizational records.
· Support organizational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· 5+ years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, grant writing, communications, marketing, or a related field.
· Demonstrated grant writing and fundraising experience.
· Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
· Experience with marketing, digital communications, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while working independently and collaboratively.
· Strong attention to detail, discretion, integrity, and commitment to CLIMB Fund’s mission.
· Graphic design experience preferred.
